WHAT IS A SOLID?

Rhino Solid bullets have their application essentially for thicker skinned and larger game, where deeper penetration is required for follow up and back up shots. As a lathe turned brass monolithic bullet, the design of the solids result in a generally retained appearance after the shot, when the vitals of the quarry are sought. This solid is often used under thicker bushveld conditions where shooting through foliage may be required to bring down an animal on a follow-up.

The "flat meplat" of the bullet is designed for better straight line penetration and will penetrate deeper than a Round Nose Solid, as it encounters less resistance- in effect we have now the same weight behind a smaller frontal surface, and as such, it becomes in essence a "low drag bullet" to the target, hence deeper penetration.
